How to use the Windows 8 Start Screen

In conjunction to my other post titled "Windows 8, Love it or Hate it" I am bringing to your attention another article on lockergnome.com Entitled"How to use the Start Screen in Windows 8"

Much of the buzz around Windows 8 is the replacement of the standard Start Menu the we are all used to seeing & replacing it with a proper start screen, like most of the other things in Windows 8 this is having a lot of mixed reviews mainly because it is so different to anything we have seen before, but is this a good thing?

Microsoft, have kinda fallen behind in my eyes as Windows 7 was really only a revision of Vista after the disasters that happened there is this the innovative kick that Microsoft needs?

Anyway check out the article that will hopefully help you enjoy the Metro experience a bit more:http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2012/03/05/how-to-use-the-start-screen-in-windows-8/
Windows 8, Love it or Hate it?

So as many of you may know Microsofts new venture Windows 8 is due to release later this year & has been getting some mixed reviews across the board some people love it others hate it I guess you could call it Microsoft Marmite, Haha.

All joking aside there are some pretty serious issues that Microsoft will need to tackle in order to make Windows 8 a success.

On lockergnome.com there is an article written by Matt Ryan Titled "13 Things Microsoft Should Improve in Windows 8".

Microsoft is obviously taking a big risk in that of Windows 8 as they are changing the UI completely, when I first booted up Windows 8 when it was still in the Developer Preview Stages I hated it, Yes hated it.  It was far too different & almost did not feel at all like Windows, to put it simply it felt Alien but after a while of  non biased use I began to like some of the pretty neat features of Windows 8 & began to get  annoyed by others but is not the point right now.

The main point is that Windows 8 is good but it needs some work, as outlined in the article on locker gnome.com here: http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2012/03/05/13-things-microsoft-should-improve-in-windows-8/

Congratulations to Chris Pirillo & Diana Morales!

As some of you may know youtube partner & tech expert Chris Pirillo is getting married on this Friday at 5PM Pacific Time & I would like to give them both a personal congratulations & wish them both all the best to what I am sure will be a long & happy marriage.

I have been subscribed to Chris & a member of lockergnome.com for around 2 years now & I have been interested in most of Chris's videos almost all the time, what Chris does is a very good thing he provides a great range of free, helpful & even entertaining content to everyone on youtube & asks for nothing in return. He deserves a great woman that loves his geeky ways, that he can have a laugh with & be happy with, in a way I would think that Chris must be thinking that all the kind deeds he has done in his life have been repaid to him in one wonderfully amazing woman.

Even with something personal like a wedding Chris remembers his community & will be live streaming his wedding to the exclusive members of the lockergnome community the Gnomes.

Why doesn't he stream it to youtube for everyone & for free you may ask?

Well, the answer is simply Haters (H)aving (A)nger (T)owards (E)veryone (R)eaching (S)uccess to put it simply some people are very abusive & disrespectful towards him, his family & his community on youtube & he would not like a special & wonderful event to be somewhat ruined by these people.

I myself am unfortunately not yet a Gnomie as being only 14 money isn't extremely easy to come by but I am hoping to purchase a membership this week in order to join his wonderful exclusive community & wish him all the best after his wedding as I am doing here.

So with that I am going to finish this post by saying:

Good Luck & all the best to you & Diana on you're wedding Chris!
